On 12 October 2026 TikTok opened voting for the first TikTok Awards Southeast Asia. The Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam newsroom posts share the theme, eleven categories, a country round, and a finale in Bali on 27 November. They do not share one vote count, one list of who you can tap, or one date for country representatives. Open the post for the country whose names are on your screen.
What do the three posts agree on?
The three posts are the Indonesia edition, dated Jakarta, 12 October 2026, the Malaysia edition in English, same date, and the Vietnam edition, same date. A newsroom address with only lang=en did not open a fourth article. This piece uses the three editions that did.
All three announce the first TikTok Awards Southeast Asia. The theme line is The Ones Who Spark It. The country round runs from 12 October 2026 to 26 October 2026. Each post lists eleven categories. In each category, the local creator with the most votes moves on as that country's representative and can win at Southeast Asia level. Winners are named on 27 November 2026 in Bali, Indonesia. The Indonesia post prints Monday for the close and Friday for both announcements. Malaysia and Vietnam print the dates and leave the weekdays off.
All three quote Angga Anugrah Putra. Indonesia and Malaysia print his title as General Manager of Content Operations, Southeast Asia, TikTok. Vietnam prints that role in Vietnamese. The regional-stage sentence names Indonesian creators, Malaysian creators, or Vietnamese creators, matching the edition. That line is a greeting. It is not a voting rule.
The steps match. Open TikTok, search #TikTokAwardsSEA, or open the Vote link on that post, then tap Vote. Vietnam also says to log in. All three allow more than one vote for the same nominee or the same category.
The Vietnam post is the only one of the three that names six countries: Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The Indonesia and Malaysia posts say Southeast Asia and do not print that list. This article did not open the Philippines, Singapore, or Thailand newsrooms, so it does not describe their ballots.
How many votes do you get, and whose names can you tap?
The Indonesia post says each user has about 15 votes a day. The sentence on the page is "Setiap pengguna memiliki sekitar 15 kali setiap harinya untuk memberikan suara kepada nomine negara di seluruh kategori." That is about 15 times a day, for country nominees, across all categories. "Sekitar" means about. The post does not say at least 15. The next sentence says a user may give more than one vote to the same nominee or the same category. Earlier on the same page, TikTok users across Southeast Asia can vote for local nominees in their own country, across 11 categories.
The Malaysia post says, "Each user has at least 15 votes per day to use on any of the Country Nominees across all categories. Multiple votes per nominee or category are allowed." The same post says TikTok users across Southeast Asia will vote for their local Country Nominees across 11 categories. In that edition the Country Nominees are the Malaysian list. The post does not say those votes can be spent on another country's names.
The Vietnam post says, "Mỗi tài khoản có ít nhất 15 lượt bình chọn mỗi ngày cho các nhà sáng tạo nội dung ở bất kỳ các nước và hạng mục." Read in English, each account has at least 15 votes a day for creators in any country and any category. The next sentence says a user may use several votes for the same representative or the same category.
Those three sentences are not one rule. Indonesia prints about 15, for country nominees, after a line about local nominees in the voter's own country. Malaysia prints at least 15, on Country Nominees it presents as the Malaysian list. Vietnam prints at least 15, for any country and any category. The app may enforce one of these. The posts do not say which.
The Vote links are different addresses. Indonesia prints https://activity.tiktok.com/t/ZSb3BnopH/. Malaysia prints https://activity.tiktok.com/t/ZSb3SfABo/. Vietnam prints a longer in-app address that includes region=VN. This article does not paste that query string. Opening the wrong link is how a vote lands on another country's names.
When does the country round close, and when are representatives named?
The Indonesia post closes the country-nominee round on Monday, 26 October 2026, at 23:59 WIB. The page prints the time as 23.59 WIB. Country representatives are announced on Friday, 6 November 2026. Southeast Asia winners are announced on Friday, 27 November 2026, in Bali, Indonesia.
The Malaysia post says the voting phase for Country Nominees ends at 11:59PM on 26 October 2026, and it names no timezone. Country Representatives are announced on 6 November 2026, with no weekday printed. Winners are announced on 27 November 2026 in Bali, Indonesia, with no weekday printed.
The Vietnam post closes the national voting round at 23:59 on 26 October 2026, and it names no timezone. The list of Vietnamese representatives is announced on 9 November 2026. Regional results are announced on 27 November 2026 in Bali, Indonesia. That post prints no weekdays.
Indonesia prints 23:59 WIB. Malaysia prints 11:59PM and no zone. Vietnam prints 23:59 and no zone. This article does not turn the unnamed clocks into WIB. Indonesia prints Friday, 6 November 2026, for country representatives. Malaysia prints 6 November 2026 for Country Representatives, with no weekday. Vietnam prints 9 November 2026 for the list of Vietnamese representatives. The posts do not say whether those are one regional announcement or each edition's own date. The Bali date matches: 27 November 2026.
What do the posts leave out?
None of the three posts states a prize. None states who was eligible to be nominated, or whether views or shop sales decided the shortlist. This article does not invent a prize, an eligibility line, or a shortlist rule.
The shop category is not the same string. Indonesia prints Tokopedia & TikTok Shop Creator of the Year. Malaysia prints TikTok Shop Creator of the Year. Vietnam prints TikTok Shop Creator of The Year. Sports is Sports Creator of the Year on the Indonesia and Malaysia pages. The Vietnam heading is Sport Creator of the Year.
Indonesia prints five names in each of the eleven categories. Creator of the Year there is Erika Richardo (@erikarichardo), Jerhemy Owen (@jerhemynemoo), Luqman "Kak Kev" Hakim (@luqmanrv), Mo'ammar Galssha Annand (@mg_ammar), and Vina Muliana (@vmuliana). Vietnam prints five names in each category on the page this article read. Malaysia prints a separate list, and this article does not count those names. A name on one country's list is not a name on the others.
Which page should a Jakarta account use before 26 October?
Use the Indonesia newsroom post, dated Jakarta, and the Vote link on that post. The address is https://activity.tiktok.com/t/ZSb3BnopH/. Malaysia's short link is a different path. Vietnam's longer address includes region=VN. A vote that opens the wrong link is a vote on another country's names.
Hold the Indonesia sentences through 26 October. About 15 votes a day, for country nominees, on the local list that page describes. Close at 23:59 WIB on Monday, 26 October 2026. Country representatives on Friday, 6 November 2026. Winners on Friday, 27 November 2026, in Bali. Read the Malaysia post and the Vietnam post for the sentences on those editions.
A creator who is not on a list cannot read these posts as a score. They do not say views, watch time, or shop sales picked the shortlist. Someone who is not a nominee can still vote, on the edition they open. A nominee has no published prize to plan around. This is not a change to TikTok's recommendation ranking, and it is not the 5 October 2026 advertiser update already covered on this site. It is a public vote written three ways.
